Federation of Asian Biotech Associations (FABA) was involved in organising BioAsia 2005 along with All India Biotech Association - Southern Chapter and Andhra Pradesh Government. Main role that FABA played was to invite delegations  from Asian countries, who participated actively in B2B meetings for carrying out activities between Member Countries for mutual benefit. Several Accords were signed.

Pakistan Chapter of FABA also organized a reception to meet with US based scientists, who were in fact being lead by the Former US Ambassador to India Dr. Harry Barnes – a firm believer and committed advocate of biotechnology during Tripartite Planning Meeting on Agricultural Biotechnology on May 24-25, 2005 held at Lahore. Pakistan Chapter of FABA also organized a get-together with visiting delegation of Indian biotechnology scientists attending this Conference. The delegation included some very eminent personalities like Prof. M S Swaminathan, Prof. V L Chopra, Dr. Manju Sharma, Dr. C R Bhatia, Dr. R K Singh and Dr. M K Bhan together with biotechnology scientists from Pakistan and local industrialists, including Executive Members of Pakistan Chapter of FABA.

It turned out to be an interesting evening and there were many useful interactive exchanges of ideas. It was thoroughly enjoyed by the participants.

FABA along with AIBA-SC organised a Distinguished Lecture by Dr. Robert W Naismith, Chairman & CEO, Life Science Analytics, Inc, USA on "Bio-business Opportunities between US and India" on July 2, 2005, where CEOs and Senior Executives of various biotech and pharma companies actively participated.

Singapore Chapter of FABA organised a Executive Committee Meeting on July 19, 2005, where Dr. B S Bajaj, Secretary General, FABA participated and discussed about future activities of FABA with Dr. Jannie Tay, Chairpeson and Mr. Anand Govindaluri, Member Secretary.

Pakistan Chapter of FABA has organised a conference on “Business Opportunities in Industrial Biotecchnology: Destination Pakistan” from January 17-19, 2006 Lahore. Representatives from some Member Countries have participated in this Conference. Dr.Bajaj led a delegation from India.

FABA has successfully organised Conference on BioAsia 2006 jointly with AIBA-SC and A.P Government during February 2006 at Hyderabad (India).

FABA has also organised an International Conference on “Biotechnology for Sustainable Agriculture and Agro Industry” jointly with Andhra Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (APIDC), Andhra Pradesh Government, A.P Netherlands Biotechnology programme, Pragathi Agri Biotech Pvt Ltd and some others, organised from March 9-11, 2006 at Hyderabad (India).

Malaysia Chapter of FABA has organised a conference on “Biotechnology Asia 2006” from August 9-11, 2006 held at Kuala Lampur, Malaysia. Dr.Seyed E Hasnain led a delegation from India.

Iran Chapter of FABA has organised “Biotechnology Exchange Forum” from November 8-9, 2006 in Tehran.
